Coming soon!

This batch of babies is headed out tomorrow! Look out Kansas, Iowa, California, Indiana, Arkansas and Kentucky! Puddin Pop Kids are headed your way! Some of the smaller boxes are really full!! Those babies are packed in there tight!
Puddin, Monkey See and Monkey Do were fascinated with Mommy's "dolly tower". I think they thought they would get to build with them tomorrow. Oh well!

Now, I'm working on Bud's birthday pants with coordinating pants for his big brothers. I know, it is a sickness!! Just wait until you see what I have in store for Puddin and Daisy!! It's precious!!

Ok- bloggy breaks's over...back to work for me!

The week in review

Hubby is working hard, as usual. He has also been sharing some seriously funny youtube videos with me while I'm trying to work...such a distraction... but really funny!
His head is healing up nicely. On our trip he had a collision with the hatch of our van. Bless his heart- I know it hurt so bad. I thought he might need stitches but in true manly form, he sucked it up and carried on.

Puddin is learning to read and is loving it! She is also writing words and making up new words daily! But, she is also S.I.C.K., which meant a run to the handy pediatricians office.
(Surprisingly, it went remarkably well, minus the screaming from the throat swab.
We saw the "toddler whisperer" today. I seriously need to devote an entire post on this man alone. But that's for another day.)

Monkey Do has continued to serenade us with his rendition of "cows on the farm with McDonald" aka- Old MacDonald had a Farm. Only now he insists that I dance along with him. Of course I oblige the little fella! He is seriously adorable as he stomps his foot, sings and plays his guitar/fiddle. {{hearts}}
He has also decided to start using the potty, a little. But, it's on his own and he prefers to poopy rather than tee-tee, which I am totally ok with! But, I guess that was too much info!

In true twin form, Monkey See has now rebelled against the toilet and refuses to go near the porcelain monster. {sigh}
He has however, perfected his tackle techniques for football as well as hit pitching form for baseball, oh and his superior biting skills. He is a multi-tasker, that boy!

Bud, sweet, sweet baby Bud, has decided to start standing!!! And in majorly HUGE news, he has also started saying Ma-Ma!!! {{BIG HEARTS}}

Daisy, while not standing, has extremely quick and agile crawling moves, she adores dog food (I know it is gross but at least it's dry food). She has cut 3 molars in the past 2 days and she has perfected the art of the "eye poke". I wonder if it's related? And just today she added something new to her repertoire....

I really have to find the baby gates this weekend!

But for now- Momma's tired so I'm off to bed!

nite-nite!

Surprise!!

Look what I found this afternoon...

This little bundle of sweetness decided he would stand!!

The other kiddos and I were so proud of him!
But not nearly as proud as he was on himself!

Working

In addition to working in some quality time with my children and the hubby, this is what I've been up to.

Planning a 1st birthday for Daisy and Bud.

This is my messy work station full of half done invites and tags for the babies. (If yuo are wondering where your invite is... now you know!) I promise to get them finished and out before Sunday.

And making babies... the Puddin Pop kind.

Trust me, you don't want to see my house!

Old McDonald

This is Monkey Do's rendition of Old McDonald... if only I had this on video... it was hysterical!

I love this boy!

For Lisa

The babies are ready!!! I hope you are ready for a little preview.... if not, click away now!!!!

They turned out really sweet. I hope you like them and I can't wait to see you and have some play time! For the kids and the Mommy's!

I'll call you tomorrow after I knock out some of this laundry so we can make plans!

If you are reading this and you are not Lisa, but are wondering about your babies, send me an email if I have not already corresponded with you about your order. For those of you that I have been in touch with, the sewing will resume tomorrow. I will contact each of you through email to confirm your order and make sure everything is correct, then I'll let you know as soon as the baby is finished.
Again, dealing with Mt. Wash Me today! Ugh!

Happy Tuesday!

Why we won't be visiting Disney World anytime soon...

I'm still playing catch up from missing my weekend of real life.
I'm actually battling Mt. Wash Me. For the record, I'm losing.
The thought of starting our very own nudist colony has crossed my mind more than once.
Can you tell how sick I am of laundry?
One good thing about our trip is when we travel we use disposable diapers!!
WOO-HOO!! At least I'm not having to wash diapers today!

Actually, there were alot of good things about our trip. Most importantly was seeing my Nanny and spending some time with her. When Puddin found out we were going to Mississippi (I didn't tell her why we were going except that we would get to see Nanny)her reaction was, "YAY! We're going on vacation!! Do we get to stay in the hotel?"

I love that girl!

So other than seeing my beautiful Nanny, the use of disposable diapers, and a happy 4 year old, here are a few more reasons this was a good trip:

1. Everyone slept almost the whole way there!

Bud
Daisy
Monkey Do Moneky See

Well, almost everyone!

2. Big, bouncy hotel beds!
Hotel rules are a bit different. Yes, they are allowed to jump on the bed.
Cheap entertainment at it's finest!

3. We all can still fit in one room!
The babies each get a pack-n-play,
the munchkins get one bed and hubby and I get the other.

4. Getting to spend time with my Daddy and step mom. Even though the circumstances were not good, it was great to see them!
Bud and Pappy
Monkey Do and Pappy reading a book

5.Free haircuts for the boys!
My sister is a hairstylist so she brought her scissors to give the boys a much needed haircut. This time the boys got a haircut in the hotel bath tub!! We're crazy like that!
Money See looks a little concerned!
So does Monkey Do!

6. Going out to eat!
We rarely do this. In fact, I think the last time we actually went to a real restaurant that has a waitress was when tthe tornado came through town and we had no electricity. The babies were exactly 1 month old!!
It looks like Daisy had a great time!!

7. And, finally, $1.00 fake hair from The Dollar Tree!
The kids were so great when we went to dinner (they were actually really great the entire trip!) that we were feeling very generous so we walked around the corner to the Dollar Tree and told them they coudl each pick out 1 toy. The Monkeys acted like it was Christmas morning. Puddin had her eye on a wind up Easter chick until she saw the "fake hair". Once she laid eyes on the hot pink hair- it was all over for that chick!

Really, just seeing my Nanny and spending time with her made it all worth it. But it was nice to see the rest of my family and have my kids happy at the same time.

Now, it's back to Mt. Wash Me!
Happy Monday!

Wow~ what a whirlwind of a weekend!
My babies are sleeping and hubby has gone to pick up our dog from the kennel. And it is quiet.
We decided it was important to go and see my Nanny this weekend so we made it happen.
Have you ever traveled several hundred miles with 5 little people?
Good times!
Anyway- we made it to our hotel and we cozied up and made it homey for the weekend.
My Nanny is improving. She is such a strong lady, but man, what a battle she is fighting.
I think having so much support there this weekend really helped her. At one point we had 22 people crammed in her room. I was worried it was too much for her so I leaned in and asked her if she was ok or if it was too overwhelming. Her eyes were misty and she shook her head and said no, she wouldn't trade it for the world. It makes me cry just remembering it.
So now, while she is improving, she's not out of the woods, and I just continue to pray for her to have strength in this fight.
Thanks for your prayers too.

I'll be back tomorrow with some seriously cute pics of the best kiddos in the world!!
Happy Sunday!

Sassy

This little lady is ready to go...
She looks so sassy to me....
kind of like another little girl I know... who's into everything around here! Sassy should have been her bloggy name but we went with the "flower" theme instead.

A sassy smile...
And a beautiful verse.
One of my favorite verses ever... actually the verse I prayed over my sweet Daisy when she was born... also the verse on her 1st Puddin Pop Kid.

*** If you have emailed me directly about a custom order and I haven't replied yet- sorry, I will reply by tonight!

Some of you have asked how I do it (sew) and raise 5 babies. Believe me, it's a delicate balance! I do try and limit the time I sew until after bed time. I'll do a post on a day in the life soon! It's crazy but you might find it interesting! Nap time is usually reserved for morning clean up, laundry and emails, phone calls, etc. and then after dinner, baths, stories and bedtime my awesome husband helps out around here so I can sew for a couple of hours.

Anyway, I'm off to take care of cleanup and wishing I had Alice from the Brady Bunch here to help... a girl can dream!

Happy Thursday!

Wow, it's been a crazy day here. Lots of stuff going on- but that's life everywhere, right?
I did a post a while back about my Nanny.
She's in the hospital right now. Would you please pray for her?
It's so hard. I want to help her, but I can't.
I want to hug her, but I can't.
I can pray, so that's what I'll do.

Also, I've had some questions today about the Puddin Pop Kids so I'll try to answer them all in one swoop. BTW, if you are here from WHATEVER... welcome! isn't Meg awesome!! I'm so excited for her to go to Africa!! What an experience that will be!

I hope this little sweetie can help her some with the expenses. Meg is holding an auction for him today, so if you just love him, hop on over and place a bid! You'll get a cute, snuggly little guy and help a great lady doing an awesome thing!
Now, as for the questions...
*I have not opened my Etsy shop yet. I can't seem to get enough stuff made to sell, so I'm working on that.
*I don't have a paypal account set up yet, but I'm working on that too. I'm not real savvy with this whole blog design/buttons thing yet but Hubby and I are going to work on the paypal thing tonight. Maybe there will be a button for that tomorrow! I know it would make things easier for everyone!
*If you want to order a custom doll, just send me an email at mhudspeth@msn.com.
Make sure you include: hair color/texture, body color/texture, eye color (brown, blue or black- no green yet, unless you want cat eyes), Bible verse and version ( I usually go with NKJ or NIV, but if you want something different let me know). Also, I can add the child's name to the back of the Puddin Pop Kid as well, and I also need to know if you have a color preference for clothing. The girls usually have on a bright polka dot skirt and the boys are usually in gingham.
One I get the order, I will confirm with you and make sure I have the details. I usually guarantee the doll within 2 weeks of the order.
*And, just cause ya'll have been so sweet today, if you order by Monday and reference WHATEVER, the shipping will be free!!!
* If you aren't wanting to order a custom doll but would rather order one that's ready to go you can check out this one, this one, and this one.
And, in other news...
Bud still won't say Ma-ma. Everytime I ask him, "say ma-ma", he just looks at me with that beautiful face, smiles, and says, "da-da". Every.single.time.
It's sort of become a joke around here now. I know he will eventually say it, I just hope it's before he starts kindergarten! Ha!
And as for saying ma-ma, even Monkey Do doesn't call me ma-ma. Isn't that strange? He'll ask Bud to say it, but he doesn't. About 6 months ago he stopped calling me "ma-ma" and started calling me "mah-nah". Again, every.single.time.
Just in case you stopped by to see any of my little darlins... here's a pic of my sweet Monkey See... He's so precious!

This has kind of been a random, busy post. Sorry about that, I'm just making the most of the available time I have today.

Happy Wednesday!

Status Update for 2/15/09

If you follow Facebook you know things have been changing lately.
One week it's "throw back" week, the next it's "sibling week" etc.
So this week, in honor of Valentines day, was
"how long have you and your hubby been together" week.

So, here was my status for today:

7 years ago today hubby and I went on our 1st date. We were engaged on July 23, 2003 and married on Dec. 6, 2003. 7 years and 5 babies later we're still in love! ♥

And here is the pic I included....

This was pre-digital so pardon the blur... getting these pics transferred to something I can use is a challenge I'm not ready to take.

(Even with the blur you can see I was tanner, thinner and blonder. 5 babies can wreak havoc on a girl!)
Yes, 7 years ago tonight this wonderful journey started! Who knew it would be this great?!? We might be sleepy and stained with some baby related something, but we're happy and that's what matters.
Love you hubby! I can't wait to see what the next 7 years holds in store for us!!!

Canvas People

I recently received an email from a company called Canvas People.com.

The email said I could submit a photo and have it printed on an
8X10 canvas for free +s/h.

Really?!?

I was a little surprised and skeptical but I went to the website anyway to check it out.

I looked legitimate so I went for it. Within 5 minutes I was finished. Now, came the waiting. I did have to wait about 2 weeks for it to come in but, the wait was well worth it!

I LOVE my new canvas of my *5 babes and it has a special place on our mantel to sit.

See what you think...

If you have a favorite photo you have been looking to do something special with I would highly recommend giving it shot. I think it was completely worth it!
*The babies were 2 weeks old when this was taken in our back yard by Christina Campbell. (she does fantastic work and I really like her style.) I love how Puddin and the Monkeys are looking down at the babies so adoringly!

Pint sized Puddins! NEW!

Puddin is going to a birthday party today and wanted her
friend to have a Puddin Pop Kid.
So I started thinking about what kind of Puddin would be best.
And this is what I came up with...
A PINT sized Puddin!!

ADORABLE!
(she measures 15" from head to toe)

Puddin loves her and said, "Oh Mommy! It's perfect!"
Music to my ears!

And as a finishing touch we added this cute canvas bag to tuck her down inside.
After the trim on top, she's a perfect fit!

It was originally just a plain canvas bag but a little fabric and
embroidery later we have a gift ready to go.

Throw in a little Truth,

a sweet smile,

and lots of birthday wishes!

Happy Birthday Alyssa!

My Valentine, Puddin

Today was Puddin's Valentine's Day party at her preschool.

She has been so excited all week. Every day she asks if it's Valentine's day yet.

So last night we made valentines for her friends

(home made Valentines for each of her friends with
cute little stickers by Autumn Leah)

and a sweet little treat too.
cotton candy "ice cream cone" found here

We fixed up something special for her teachers,

"Owl be your valentine" found here
(remember when I mentioned what a great site it was?!?)

and I made her a special dress for her party today.

She was ready to go!
(her new bucket bag full of goodies!)

We snapped a few pictures and she was off!
She insisted on braids and the Monkey's insisted on being in the picture!

Watching her excitement was so much fun!!!

After school we read through all of her valentines as she
gobbled up the chocolates lickety split!

The Monkeys were curious about her excitement and just kept watching her with puzzled little looks. (It really was very cute... she was very, very excited about her day!)

She even saved a special bag of candy from her party for her daddy. Watching her make a point to give him something worth so much value to her was really special.

Have I mentioned how much I love my Puddin?
I love her so much.
She' a pretty special kid.

Happy (early) Valentine's Day!
