Early bird gets to lick the bowl

Around here, nap time is a special time. It is much adored by me, mommy. It is needed, greatly and without it, well, let's just say it's not pretty around 5:00.

So, Puddin's swim class really cut into this special time of the day. For 2 whole weeks the kiddos only got to sleep about an hour. Now, don't hate me or anything, but my kids usually nap 3 hours a day. On a REALLY good day, I can get 3 1/2. So, needless to say, I have felt a little out of sorts the past couple of weeks.

On Monday, I thought things would be back to normal.
Monkey See had another plan.
He, apparently, has become accustomed to a 1 hour nap and seems to think it's the new way of doing things around here. Well, after he screamed "MOMMA!" at the top of his lungs (for the 75th time) I marched myself up to his room to make sure he understood, nap time was NOT over and he needed to lay down (before he woke up his sleeping brother)!

After seeing his face when I walked in, I changed my mind. Such a push over! He was DELIGHTED to see me! He was just too happy for me to make him lay down and since it's rare that I get 1 on 1 time with any of them these days(especially the boys), I decided to take advantage of it.
I scooped him up, smothered him with kisses and downstairs we went.
This lucky boy got to help me with dessert.
I had started to make chocolate pudding before I went upstairs so he was in luck!
And, for the 1st time ever, he got to lick the bowl!!
I think he was pretty happy about it!!

Eventually, Bud and Daisy woke up and got to watch as Mommy and the Monkey made pudding.

They seemed to have fun too!

Honey,

That treat you gave Monkey see... hmm. I knew you were into getting brownie points with our kids, but now actual brownies... You're too sweet!

I look at this blog and go, my word, I can't believe she has all these babies, then a little voice goes "she only has one more than you" and I kinda freak out.

Do you feel that way when you see someone in the grocery store with 4-5 kids? I get it when people make comments!! That's a whole lot of little kids!
