This past week has been hard.
My Daddy and my Nanny were both discharged on Friday and Saturday so they are at home. Resting I hope.
My Dad was instructed to "take it easy"...we'll see.
My Nanny was instructed to try and do more... not sure about that one either.
She will have a home health nurse coming in to try and help her do some things.
Then, just when I though things were going to get back to normal, we getting ready to go to dance class (Puddin has missed 2 weeks in a row due to illness and visiting my Nanny). Anyway, a normal Friday was not in our future. Instead we made an emergency dash to the pediatricians office for Monkey See's arm. I feared it was broken from the way he was holding it. I definitely knew something was wrong. Turns out he had "nurse maids elbow" which is a partial dislocation. ***sigh*** Apparently he and Puddin were scuffling over a musical jewelry box and she yanked his arm to get it away. oh- and now Puddin has missed dance 3 weeks in a row! I'm so grateful his arm wasn't broken! Monkey See is as good as new now, but man, I'm ready for things to settle down a bit!
But now I have laryngitis and some gunk to go along with it!

On another note...
I have several PPK orders in the works but due to the craziness last week and the fact that I am now sick, I haven't been able to work much on them. I will let you know as soon as they are ready and hope to finish a couple of the small orders by Wednesday.
Happy Sunday!

What's playing today...
Leeland....
Long day yesterday. Really tired this morning so I guess I'll just share my FB post again to give one quick update!
Got home late last night. My dad's heart catheter test was good yesterday (YAY!!) but waiting on results from a different test to figure out what's wrong. He was a trooper yesterday. :)My grandmother is beautiful. She is not doing very well though. I am praying for strength and comfort for her in the days ahead. Oh- My mom, husband and babies did great yesterday too! Thanks for all of the prayers everyone. Gotta go love on my little ones now!

Miss Mix-a-lot
A little over a year ago I did one of those "notes' of getting to know me on Facebook. #11 said that I wake up every morning with a song in my head. And I do. Usually, I don't get to listen to it for very long before life starts. I guess that's what happens when you hit the ground running.
Today was different. In fact, I don't just have 1 song, but more of a mix tape going on!
My dad is having a procedure done on his heart today and that's a big deal to me. He is strong and he loves the Lord so I know things will befine great. So I am headed to Mississippi to see him and be support for him for today. I will be making the round trip drive in 1 day so I'm a little nervous about that too. (oh- the things that worry you once you become a mommy!).
So back to mix tape....
This is what's in my head today...
Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
The Seeds Family Worship version. (click right there to hear it!!)
Oh, I LOVE this CD and even though I will be kiddie free today, I will probably be jamming to it somewhere down I40.
Also, in my head is this.... one of my all time favorites!
On that note.... my FB prayer request: going to Mississippi this morning. My Daddy is having a procedure done on his heart. He will be in the same hospital as my Nanny so I will get to see them both. Please pray for strength and courage for my Daddy, my Nanny's health to continue to improve, safe travels for myself, patience for my momma (she will have my kiddos) and that my babies will have a great day! I will miss them today!

Wow, it's been a crazy day here. Lots of stuff going on- but that's life everywhere, right?
I did a post a while back about my Nanny.
She's in the hospital right now. Would you please pray for her?
It's so hard. I want to help her, but I can't.
I want to hug her, but I can't.
I can pray, so that's what I'll do.
Also, I've had some questions today about the Puddin Pop Kids so I'll try to answer them all in one swoop. BTW, if you are here from WHATEVER... welcome! isn't Meg awesome!! I'm so excited for her to go to Africa!! What an experience that will be!
I hope this little sweetie can help her some with the expenses. Meg is holding an auction for him today, so if you just love him, hop on over and place a bid! You'll get a cute, snuggly little guy and help a great lady doing an awesome thing!
Now, as for the questions...
*I have not opened my Etsy shop yet. I can't seem to get enough stuff made to sell, so I'm working on that.

*I don't have a paypal account set up yet, but I'm working on that too. I'm not real savvy with this whole blog design/buttons thing yet but Hubby and I are going to work on the paypal thing tonight. Maybe there will be a button for that tomorrow! I know it would make things easier for everyone!
*If you want to order a custom doll, just send me an email at mhudspeth@msn.com.
Make sure you include: hair color/texture, body color/texture, eye color (brown, blue or black- no green yet, unless you want cat eyes), Bible verse and version ( I usually go with NKJ or NIV, but if you want something different let me know). Also, I can add the child's name to the back of the Puddin Pop Kid as well, and I also need to know if you have a color preference for clothing. The girls usually have on a bright polka dot skirt and the boys are usually in gingham.
One I get the order, I will confirm with you and make sure I have the details. I usually guarantee the doll within 2 weeks of the order.
*And, just cause ya'll have been so sweet today, if you order by Monday and reference WHATEVER, the shipping will be free!!!
* If you aren't wanting to order a custom doll but would rather order one that's ready to go you can check out this one, this one, and this one.
And, in other news...
Bud still won't say Ma-ma. Everytime I ask him, "say ma-ma", he just looks at me with that beautiful face, smiles, and says, "da-da". Every.single.time.
It's sort of become a joke around here now. I know he will eventually say it, I just hope it's before he starts kindergarten! Ha!
And as for saying ma-ma, even Monkey Do doesn't call me ma-ma. Isn't that strange? He'll ask Bud to say it, but he doesn't. About 6 months ago he stopped calling me "ma-ma" and started calling me "mah-nah". Again, every.single.time.
Just in case you stopped by to see any of my little darlins... here's a pic of my sweet Monkey See... He's so precious!
This has kind of been a random, busy post. Sorry about that, I'm just making the most of the available time I have today.
Happy Wednesday!

Baby MeiMei
A friend of mine is in China right now with her sweet new baby girl, Mei Mei.
I am so thrilled for her and her sweet family. What a journey of faith this has been for them! To read about their story visit The Womble Times . They are asking for prayer for a smooth transition as their new baby girl adapts to them and they all adapt to life as a family of 5!!
They have a wonderful story and a beautiful family!
Congrats on the newest addition!
Now- my babies are m.a.d. that I left them so I better go before they wake up the whole house!!!

Mother's Day
This is my first Mother's Day as a mommy of 5. And if you knew what it has taken to get to this place, so that I could say that, you might be surprised.
Let's just say God and I weren't on the same plan.
His plan made the cut.
Mine did not.
For a long time that was something I didn't understand.
Why were things so hard? What wasn't I a wife yet? And later, why wasn't I a Mommy? As a little girl my planincluded was centered around my being a mommy. My freshman year of highschool we were asked to write a paper about what we wanted to be when we grew up... I wrote that I wanted to be a mom and a grandma! Who does that in high school?
This isn't a post to share my long and now wonderful story. It's more of a post of gratefulness. I am so grateful that my plan has been trampled all over the cutting room floor. I wouldn't have it any other way.
As I held Monkey Do tonight, hot from a fever, and loved on him I gave thanks for the chance to do that.
As I watched Puddin with her brothers playing ring around the rosie my heart leaped with gratitude that thiswas is my life! She is my first baby... the first one to make me a mommy! As we are adjusting to adding our newest additions I still remind her every day that she is special because she was first.
After dinner tonight, as I squeezed on Monkey See and covered his little face with kisses, it hit me again. Thank You! God chose me to be his Mommy!
Even through all of the feedings (and there are a lot of them) and loads of diapers I have to wash along with all of the regular laundry, I look at Bud and Daisy and their sweet innocent faces and I am grateful to wash their diapers and change their poopies! God chose me, out of all of the other mommies in the world, to be their Mommy!
And I listen now to hubby put all of the little blessings God has given me to bed, once again, I am gratfeul for the husband God chose for me. He knew who I needed when I didn't. I am forever grateful to Him for that. Hubby is the head of our home, he loves the Lord with his whole heart and he adores his family. He is the kind of daddy women want for their children. So, I am grateful for him as well on this Mother's Day.
May your father and mother be glad; may she who gave you birth rejoice! Proverbs 23:25
God's plan was not my own. See, yes, I wanted a husband and children but not these children and husband specifically. God knew what I needed when I didn't. He wants to be in the details of our lives. The every day, not so exciting details. My details included this husband and these amazing children. My life without Hubby, Puddin, Monkey See, Monkey Do, Bud and Daisy? I can't begin to imagine it. Funny thing is, that's all I used to do! Imagine my one day life. Sometimes letting go of something we are holding on to so tightly is the hardest part. Trust. That's a hard thing to do if you like to be in control. But once you do, good things come. God was waiting all of that time to bless me. Me! He had all of these wonderful little people ready and waiting for me to trust Him. I am so grateful I did.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.

Prayer
And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.
Matthew 21:22
Please pray for this sweet baby.
And this little guy too.
My heart aches for their mommas.
